Minga: An Andean Concept Uniting the World

Rooted in the Andes, the Minga is a practice of reciprocity, trust, solidarity, and community, integrating community service with the values of caring for life and placing humans and nature at the center.

It is a call to action for us, human beings, to unite and regenerate.

Join hands, together we are a team.

On April 26th, we will unite in Mingas around the world.

Currently, our planet and humanity are facing environmental and climate crises triggered by global warming, excessive greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
We champion a call to action for a shift in consciousness regarding water conservation, ecosystem restoration, and solid waste management.

During the Global Minga for the Environment, we will drive habitat rehabilitation through a global cleanup and reforestation day, supported by educational initiatives in local projects to ensure real transformation.

This collaborative effort fosters a participatory environmental culture, empowering citizens to actively engage.

In 2025, the reforestation project “Siembratón” and the waste management project “Reciclatón” from Johannes Kepler School will integrate their educational tools and the experience of managing thousands of Mingas.
